Brand ‘Sharmayu’ was established in the year 1960 by Late Vaidya Shree Ram Narayan Sharma under the aegis of Shree Sharma Ayurveda Bhawan.

In the year 1960, Late Vaidya Shree Ram Narayan Sharma(who is also the founder of ‘Baidyanath’) laid the foundation of Shri Sharma Ayurved Mandir (Sharmayu) in Datia (M.P). While ‘Baidyanath’ was a retail brand, ‘Sharmayu’ was formed to cater to the requirement of dispensing Vaidyas in bulk packs across the country. The efficacy and popularity of Sharmayu medicines have been recognized by renowned Vaidya/Doctors all over in India. The manufacturing unit of Sharmayu is fully equipped with the latest GMP Certified process types of machinery and scientific laboratories where experts examine and investigate Raw herb’s and mineral ingredients which are using in the preparation of Ayurvedic medicines. The medicines are subject to rigid Quality control tests as per prescribed specifications/standards while keeping /maintain perfect hygienic condition during the manufacturing of medicines before going to market. Every precaution is taken in regard to the storage and packing of the medicines to preserve their quality. The main goal is to require health with the ancient herb’s which are being used for healing and maintaining good health. Sharmayu today manufacturing both ‘Classical’ and ‘OTC’ products have moved beyond B2B supplies and is now available in retail markets, primarily Delhi, Punjab, UP, Bihar, Uttaranchal, MP, Chattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.

With the recent introduction of products from B2B to now B2C markets, brand imagery needs ‘uplift’ to counter established competitive brands like Baidyanath, Dabur, Zandu-Emami, and Himalaya in Pan-India markets. Sharmayu products are only available in ‘Ayurvedic Pharmacies’ at present but will be soon available in ‘General Pharmacies’ with variety OTC products under its portfolio, and hence a due consideration/emphasis is required to study the retail branding beyond the classical Ayurveda markets.

Sharmayu Brand is controlled by board of directors on Sri Sharma Ayurved Mandir Private Limited and spearheaded by Shri. Abhinav Gaur as Managing Director with genesis of being born in India’s first family of commercial Ayurveda and over a decades’ experience in Ayurveda research, development and marketing.

The brand ‘Sharmayu’ was established in the year 1960 by Late Vaidya Shree Ram Narayan Sharma under the aegis of Shree Sharma Ayurveda Bhawan.

In the year 1960, Late Vaidya Shree Ram Narayan Sharma(who is also the founder of ‘Baidyanath’) laid the foundation of Shri Sharma Ayurved Mandir (Sharmayu) in Datia (M.P). His primary purpose was to prepare Ras Bhasma etc. The growing demands for best quality of medicines among doctors and herbalists were increasing. Today in many territories of India, more than 400 purely beneficial medicines are using in their therapies for quick heal and disease free. In retrospect, it is making fortune, respect and happiness. While ‘Baidyanath’ was a retail brand, ‘Sharmayu’ was formed to cater to the requirement of dispensing Vaidyas in bulk packs across the country. The efficacy and popularity of Sharmayu medicines have been recognized by renowned Vaidya/Doctors all over in India.

Shri Sharma Ayurveda Mandir is equipped with cutting-edge technology, instilled with automatic scientific equipments for manufacturing medicines situated in the spacious land area of 20 bigha in Datia. In this, medicines are manufactured by the qualified, experienced and learned Ayurveda-expert Vaidya using scientific methods. The original purpose of Shri Sharma Ayurveda Mandir is to provide excellent quality of medicines. In order to enhance the elevated quality, the team of Ayurveda medical experts has always been interested in research to maintain the superior quality. The code of conduct of the GMP implemented by Central Government for preparation of ayurvedic medicines is done of the strength of its own. In Jhansi(U.P) at Shivpuri Road, Sharmayu’s second manufacturing unit is established with modern automated apparatuses. For supply of goods, warehouses been set up in Jhansi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Raipur and Kanpur. There are more than 1000 vendors and 25000 retailers working across the country and earning their livehood through the help of the company. To generate the adequate quantity of good medicinal plants, Vasundra bagh and Pitambra garden is situated on Shivpuri Road in Jhansi which is spread in approximately 120 acres of land. Small trees of hundreds of millions of herbs have been planted brought from every corner of the country.
